Each tintype is individually handmade on a sheet of metal or black glass using the authentic wetplate collodion chemical process that was used in the mid 1800’s.

Your tintype will be archival for generations to come.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The process is simple. Your one-of-a-kind tintype can be made from a digital image that you attach to an email. You don’t have a digital copy. It’s OK. You can mail a print or other physical original or schedule a time to drop it off directly to our studio.

Once we have your images, tintypes are handmade on metal or glass plates.
Metal tintype and glass ambrotype plates are available in 4”x 5” or 8”x 10” sizes.

Varnished plates are carefully packaged and mailed within 2 weeks.
